Antique Asco French Revolution L'Industrie & Le Commerce Spelter Figure 30x9 cm.

This is English made, stands on an ebonized turned wood plinth to which it is bolted.

I had thought it to be late Victorian, Art Nouveau in style.

Condition of both the statue & base is very good, though the bronzing to the figurine has points of loss in various areas including the face.

Also the flamed torch or whatever is held aloft in the right hand is somewhat bent out of shape.

Overall a nice example, clear makers mark, so please check all the photos for a closer inspection.
